Title:
Tensor Network Quantum Circuits for Non-equilibrium Steady States.
Agreement Number:
1017145
Agreement Value:
$649,704.00
Agreement Date:
May 10, 2024 - Jul 30, 2027
Description:
Both natural and technological processes operating in the quantum domain do so in contact with an environment. In particular, they establish a Nonequilibrium Steady State (NESS), which is difficult (if not impossible at present) to computationally study or optimize in other than small systems. The Project will develop tensor network and tensor train methodologies for use on classical and quantum architectures in order to allow application to meaningfully larger systems.
Organization:
National Research Council Canada
Expected Results:

In the short term, anticipated outcomes will be strengthened collaborations across industry, academia, and government to support research excellence. In the medium term, anticipated outcomes will be the development of new and potentially disruptive technologies with collaborators. In the long term, find collaborative solutions to public policy challenges and create stronger innovation systems.
