Description:

As part of the international cleantech project “Texas Offsetting Emissions Pilot,” this project will focus on providing the City of Austin with the first mobile & cloud software platform to reward environmentally conscious transportation behaviors, like choosing public transit over single occupancy vehicle trips. When a driver cuts their emissions we will pay them relative to the amount of emissions they avoided, transforming climate action from the altruistic to self-interest. Key features include pollution monitoring, enabling real-time emissions reductions surge pricing to enhance Austin’s efforts to reduce personal vehicle usage on days with traffic and poor air quality.
