Description:
To transform the treatment of inguinal hernias, Firm has developed a novel implantable hernia repair device. To complete safety and efficacy evaluations of the device, Firm intends to validate the manufacturing approach of the current prototype. Firm plans to contract an established nitinol medical device manufacturer to produce prototype units of the device. These commercial-grade units will be used in preclinical animal testing studies, and manufacturing validation data will be collected for attracting investment and preparing a regulatory submission. This project will directly advance the development of a novel hernia repair device.
