The goal of this project is to scale the processing of solid fish waste from the koi aquaculture system from pilot to demonstration commercial scale, trial the digestion process using other sources of aquaculture waste (trout, salmon) and water sources (municipal, well, rain, and RAS), trial the fertilizers produced on a diverse range of crops (fruit, vegetables, grains; greenhouse and field crops), and trial different novel aquaponic fish feed recipes designed using sustainable ingredients and different price points.
