Description:
This project advances Erthos’ materials R&D (Erthos Ingredients) and its AI platform, ZYA, to accelerate the design, validation, and scale-up of sustainable alternatives to plastic packaging, particularly flexible films and paper-based applications. Experimental R&D on biopolymers, lipids, proteins, and other bio-based ingredients will generate drop-in replacements for LDPE films and PFAS-based coatings. The resulting chemistry and physics insights will directly inform ZYA’s hybrid machine learning models, improving predictive accuracy and robustness. The project will implement novel ML techniques, validate predictions through laboratory testing, expand modeling to new material classes, and deliver repulpable, scalable materials alongside a
