Universities or similar organizations will support the SME through consulting services or strategic interventions. These resources will support the SME in its research and development, innovation, and technology transfer efforts. For a few hours of consultation, the SME will have access to high-caliber personnel—including researchers, engineers, and specialists holding doctorates, master’s degrees, bachelor’s degrees, or specialized technical qualifications—who can assist the SME in improving and/or developing technologies, products, or processes.
