Phaseshift Technologies will develop a new 3D-printable hot-work tool steel for laser powder bed fusion (LPBF), enabling Canadian die casters and toolmakers to 3D print inserts for High-Pressure Die Casting. Using the company's Rapid Alloy Design (RAD™) platform, the project will design candidate alloys, validate them through experimental trials, and benchmark performance against industry-defined targets.
