Program:
Oil Spill Response Science Program
Program Purpose:
The objective of the Oil Spill Response Science (OSRS) Program is to support the Government of Canada’s World Class Tanker Safety System initiative (Phase 2), in particular the science-related activities under Pillar 2 - preparedness and response. It will do this in part by funding R,D&D projects focused on recovery technologies and processes for the cleanup of heavy oil products spilled in marine environments to be carried out by external recipients.
