$20,000.00
Agreement Date:
Aug 13, 2019 - Mar 31, 2020
Description:
The purpose of this project is to provide scientific expertise in genomics to support projects evaluating the invasion ecology of an invasive threat to tree health in Canada, Sirex noctilio and its fungal symbiont.
Organization:
Natural Resources Canada
Expected Results:
- The application of genomic techniques to study the threat of invasive insects to Canadian forests. Such knowledge will help formulate pest management strategies. 2. The formulation of effective pest management strategies will help reduce fibre losses due to invasive species and improve the health of Canadian forests.
