Grants and Contributions:
The Proponent will (1) implement a comprehensive, nationwide survey of energy infrastructure providers to understand the problems they face as broadly as possible; (2) assess how these providers prepare for, and respond to attacks against their systems through conducting a series of interviews; and (3) evaluate what information and tools are available on the internet for hackers to use to carry out these attacks. Using this information, the Proponent will identify the threats faced by energy suppliers in Canada, share solutions which have been implemented sucessfully, and present a set of recommendations and best practices to share with all interested providers.
Grant or contribution awarded and spanning more than one fiscal year.
