Agreement Value:
$70,000.00
Agreement Date:
Dec 6, 2019 - Jun 30, 2020
Description:
The objective of the Project is to enhance understanding of the critical issues faced by clean energy investors and to cultivate better engagement between these actors and policy makers. The Project will explore ways that IEA data, tools and scenarios could help bridge the gap between energy system goals and financial investor needs as they seek to allocate capital to better support sustainability in emerging economies and globally.
Organization:
Natural Resources Canada
Expected Results:

This Project will produce insights and forge international networks to better inform policy makers, particularly in emerging economies, and improve financing conditions for clean energy, energy access and other energy sustainability goals. Activities would compliment established international initiatives in investment policy advice, such as the UN Principles for Responsible Investment and Institutional Investors Group on Climate Change, the Clean Energy Ministerial Investment and Finance Initiative, the Task Force on Climate-Related Financial Disclosures and related activities. Efforts would be made to engage with investors with broad social aims (e.g. women's economic empowerment) and institutions with complementary expertise, e.g. the UN Climate Technology Centre and Network.
