Description:
The objective of the Project is to support the International Energy Agency's work on collecting, synthesising and sharing experiences, information and analysis on how digitalisation can accelerate energy efficiency implementation and support data-driven energy efficiency policy making. This best practice exchange would be targeted at benefitting emerging economies by allowing them to leap frog into less resource intensive policy-making tools, accelerating energy efficiency progress to meet economic and social development goals.

Expected Results:

This Project will be of great benefit to IEA member countries and priority countries under the Clean Energy Transitions Programme, as it will provide evidence-based analysis on the effectiveness of digitalisation in enhancing energy efficiency and energy efficiency policy making and examples of how and why policies, programmes and approaches have worked in different country contexts. The Project will facilitate the exchange and joint learning of best and innovative practices, lessons learned and experiences, which will increase countries' understanding of the topic and allow for improved deployment and policy outcomes.
