The objective of this project is to conduct research on small modular reactors (SMRs), and to contribute to informed public discussion of an emerging technology by producing high-quality, independent knowledge including characterization of several SMR technologies, detailed analysis of the life cycle costs and impacts of open and closed fuel cycle SRMs, and the examination of on SMR application.
