Grants and Contributions:
" The aim of the BI Platform is to improve the efficacy of demand-side energy policies by ensuring that human behaviour is accounted for throughout the policy cycle. By contributing to the BI platform, Canada has direct access to experts in the field of behavioural insights and the opportunity to direct the activities (e.g. research, outreach) undertaken by the BI Platform to ensure that it is meeting Canada's desired objectives. Key deliverables of Phase 2 include developing a toolkit for policy makers, disseminating the toolkit through webinars, and facilitating networking and collaboration to grow the community of energy behavior policy makers.
Grant or contribution awarded and spanning more than one fiscal year.
The objective is to improve energy efficiency in Canada. Canadian energy users in the industrial, residential, commercial/institutional, and transportation sectors must have access to the information and qualified expertise required to make informed choices on energy consumption in the marketplace. Across all of these sectors, products that use energy and affect energy consumption will be a specific focus.
