This research project will generate a report analyzing the current level of information sharing by the Canadian mining industry on procurement practices, including efforts to procure locally, and due diligence measures to avoid problematic practices (particularly unethical supplier conduct and corruption).

To provide a comprehensive study of information sharing by Canadian mining companies on procurement of goods and services to demonstrate the importance of the issue for responsible mining and inspire improvement. To engage directly with the Canadian mining companies included in the study to support them to strengthen their information sharing on procurement practices and overal local procurement and supplier due diligence efforts.
