The objective of the Project is to combine non-traditional research methodologies, including a place names study and a water ceremony as part of a "Day on the Water", with Western science approaches, to develop an atlas of two (2) culturally-significant rivers and their watersheds

1: A watershed map that shows Anishinaabe placenames within the Garden River, Root River, and Echo River watersheds. 2: Participate in successful relationship building between Garden River First Nation and the Canadian Forest Services through collaboration on this project and hosting a community engagement event. 3: Provide a project summary report.
