The objective is to conduct EnerGuide assessments of twenty-six (26) homes in the Douglas (Xa'xtsa) First Nation community, review the energy consumption of the homes, and create a path forward for energy-efficient improvements and the adoption of the B.C. Energy Step Code.

To reduce dependency on expensive fuel and create a path to retrofit the community homes to be energy efficient. The project will also serve to create awareness, education, training, and jobs, while assisting homeowners and stakeholders to become energy literate and support decision making in designing, constructing, purchasing, renovating, or operating a home.
