Description:
The objective of this project is to protect the forests by keeping spruce budworm populations in Atlantic Canada below epidemic numbers through targeted EIS insecticide treatments. The secondary objective is to enable scientific research into the effectiveness of Early Intervention in the management of SBW outbreaks.

The treatment methodology ensures that only susceptible forests, with known populations of SBW (“hot-spots”) are treated with the minimum quantity of products at the optimal point in their larval development.
