The objective of this Project is to: - Build seven Net-Zero ready homes in the Prairie Paddle Metis Settlement; - Develop life skills workshops for tenants and homeowners, focusing on financial literacy, home maintenance, and problem solving. The goal is to empower residents with essential tools and knowledge, ensuring that when they transition into these homes, they are well-prepared to foster a thriving, sustainable, and energy-efficient living environment.

Expected Results:
Under this Project, the Proponent will promote the adoption and implementation of the National Building Code and the National Energy Code for Buildings, through the construction of seven Net-Zero ready affordable homes in the Settlement. The Proponent will also develop nationally applicable tools and training materials, develop forums and platforms to share information, and raise awareness on the energy-efficient construction and practices.
