The objective of this Project is to encourage and accelerate innovation via the dissemination of information on the role of quantum sensing in Canada's critical minerals sector by conducting a study/experiment(s) on spintronics-based quantum sensing in the detection of critical minerals.

The study will benefit Canada by helping to advance quantum technology in an area that contributes to the clean, efficient, and sustainable development/use of natural resources. The study will contribute to Canada's capacity in the field of quantum technology and help to increase Canada's global competitiveness in natural resource sectors, while transitioning to a low carbon economy. The study and dissemination of research findings will facilitate knowledge transfer between academia, industry, and the public in the field of quantum technology which can benefit a variety of outside stakeholders vis-à-vis their own objectives in this area of science and technology.
