Description:
The objective of this Project is to assist in the organization and delivery of the Forest Professionals British Columbia (FPBC) 2024 Conference and AGM scheduled to take place on February 7-9, 2024, at the Delta Grand Okanagan Resort in Kelowna. The FPBC conference provides forest professionals with a one-stop opportunity to earn professional development credits and is key to supporting its mission of protecting the public interest by ensuring BC has competent forest professionals. It is planned as a hybrid event offering opportunities to participate in person or virtually.

Expected Results:

The conference is an opportunity for forest professionals in all regions of BC to access and interact with thought leaders and experts in forest policy, research, and technical on-the-ground aspects of forestry. Variety of conference themes will allow participating forest professionals to select specific areas of learning to enhance their competence, including areas outside the specific practice of forestry such as recruitment, traditional Indigenous Knowledge, and BC forest policy such as Forest Landscape Planning. Post-conference learnings will also be available through a summary feature in the BC Forest Professional magazine and conference session recordings.
