A National Mining Careers Map will attract jobseekers and youth to the minerals and metals industry, which is currently facing a significant labour supply challenge. More skilled workers are needed to join the sector, otherwise industry may be faced with production slowdowns, revenue loss and safety concerns, and may hinder the adoption of emerging technologies that make mining safer and more sustainable.
