Grants and Contributions:
The Project will benefit Canada by helping to create workspaces in which people with disabilities are increasingly respected and considered, thus contributing to strengthening Canada’s scientific and technical capacity and promote the understanding that working towards a barrier-free research environment is essential to advancing our knowledge and expanding our understanding of the challenges we face in Canada and globally. The Project will also create and disseminate new knowledge about the identification, removal and prevention of barriers experienced by scientists with disabilities in the natural resources sciences and foster an environment where previously-excluded voices and perspectives can participate in the innovation agenda, and in the sustainable and responsible development of Canada’s natural resources via the research enterprise.
To encourage and accelerate innovation via the dissemination of information; to maintain a sustainable and responsible development of Canada's natural resources via participation into engagement activities; to share best practices at home and abroad on clean, sustainable, efficient technologies and practices related to natural resources; and, to assist in the protection of our natural resources from pests, fire and other hazards.
