The objective of the Project is to introduce the Nunatsiavut Energy Efficiency Retrofit (NEER) Program; a barrier-free initiative that allows for the Inuit community in the Nunatsiavut region of Labrador to benefit from strategic remote community programming that aims to incorporate sustainability, energy security, energy affordability, and environmental and social health benefits.

The objective is to improve energy efficiency in Canada. Canadian energy users in the industrial, residential, commercial/institutional, and transportation sectors must have access to the information and qualified expertise required to make informed choices on energy consumption in the marketplace. Across all of these sectors, products that use energy and affect energy consumption will be a specific focus.
