Description:
The purpose of this agreement is to support the implementation of two activities under the ITTO 2025-2026 Biennial Work Programme. The first activity involves developing on-line Tropical Forest Fire Resource Toolkit for the prevention and management of wildfires in tropical forests. The second activity involves conducting statistical capacity building workshops in African producer member countries.

Expected Results:
As a result of this project, revised technical guidance will assist in implementation of projects that contribute to the achievement of common goals of the Kunming-Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework. In addition, improved data collection is expected to produce meaningful statistics on production and trade of tropical primary and secondary wood products, which will help major stakeholders and governments (in South America) to make sound environmental decisions.
