Description:
The purpose of this agreement is to support with costs to help keep registration fees lower. The objective of the workshop is to bring researchers and students studying the resistance and tolerance of trees to forest health issues together with stakeholders that have the experience and knowledge to operationalize the research.

Expected Results:

A workshop will be held from June 1 to 6, 2025 in the town of Vernon, British Columbia, Canada. Over 100 participants from around the world are expected. There are four invited keynote speakers. The workshop will consist of several sessions of selected abstracts, two poster sessions and two field tours of local research trials. One field tour will visit the Kalamalka Forestry Centre in Vernon which is the centre of tree breeding and orchard production for the interior of British Columbia. The second tour will take the group to the Skimikin Seed Orchard site near Salmon Arm where there are several seed orchards and government genetics research trials.
