Description:
Roundtable will convene high-level policymakers, military leaders, industry executives, legal experts, and financial leaders to discuss Canada's evolving role in Indo-Pacific security, with a particular focus on energy security, critical minerals, defense industry engagement, and investment strategies. NRCan sees value in financially supporting the Roundtable as a convener of key stakeholders in the Indo-Pacific focused arena, which has becoming increasingly important to NRCan in the context of the Indo Pacific Strategy.

Expected Results:
Funding helps raise NRCan’s visibility and allows for greater latitude to shape the Roundtable. It is more cost effective for the department to support an existing organization (the Park Group) with a proven track record of convening high level officials from both industry and government than to start up its own.
