To install a network of 20 seismograph stations across Newfoundland to record local, regional, and global earthquakes, as well as ambient ground vibrations, over a two-year period.

The project will provide the first detailed 3D models of the crust and upper mantle structure of Newfoundland, which will be integral to improving mineral prospectivity and guiding future exploration efforts. High-resolution views of the upper mantle will allow for mapping lithospheric structural variations, which are crucial for understanding mineral deposit formation.
