Title:
Critical mineral potential of the Maritimes Basin in eastern New Brunswick
Agreement Number:
GC-130621S
Agreement Value:
$232,600.00
Agreement Date:
Sep 15, 2025 - Mar 31, 2027
Description:
Within the Maritimes Basin, this project will employ analytical methods to assess whether near-surface rocks contain elevated levels of critical minerals, map the distribution of older, more prospective basement rocks, and determine if these rocks extend to the surface. Additionally, the project will examine the potential for basement rocks to host other critical mineral occurrences.
Organization:
Natural Resources Canada
Expected Results:

The geoscience data (new mapping, interpretations, till and stream sediment geochemistry data) generated as part of this project will be used in mineral potential modelling. This data could lead to the discovery of new critical mineral systems, reduce investment risk and attract exploration.
