Grants and Contributions:
Coordinate efforts between stakeholders and trades to retrofit 63 affordable townhomes in Ottawa for low-income residents, reducing energy use and greenhouse gas emissions. In collaboration with homeowners and tenants, the Proponent will model energy performance and deliver a mass retrofit plan that enables rapid upgrades with minimal disruption. The Project team will also provide hands-on job training and building science education to equity-deserving groups through the Retrofit Accelerator Mentorship Program (RAMP), assess homeowner and tenant satisfaction, and communicate results to advance scalable, inclusive climate solutions.

The objective is to improve energy efficiency in Canada. Canadian energy users in the industrial, residential, commercial/institutional, and transportation sectors must have access to the information and qualified expertise required to make informed choices on energy consumption in the marketplace. Across all of these sectors, products that use energy and affect energy consumption will be a specific focus.
