Description:
The objective of this project is to support the 5th meeting of the International Cold Forest Research Laboratory. The meeting will focus on the resilience of northern ecosystems in the face of past and present climate disturbances, and on strengthening the links between scientific research and Indigenous knowledge.

Expected Results:

A general conference, a day of dialogue and collaboration with members of the Innu community of Pessamit, and a showcase of research conducted in the Côte-Nord region on forest fires, climate change, and the environmental history of the territory. Development of new collaborations between researchers, practitioners, and members of Indigenous communities; consolidation of international research networks; promotion of open, inclusive science rooted in the territorial realities of cold forests.
