Expected Results:

The proponent will build knowledge of critical minerals for Indigenous economic development officers (EDOs). Indigenous EDOs act as a trusted link between Indigenous leadership, mining companies, and government, and their informed engagement is essential to the success of responsible critical mineral development projects. By building capacity and providing practical information on the growing role of critical minerals in Canada's economy, clean energy, and advanced technologies, the project will support Indigenous communities to engage proactively in critical mineral projects and ensure they benfit from new opportunities.
