Title:
Newfoundland and Labrador hyperspectral drill core scanning
Agreement Number:
GC-130755S
Agreement Value:
$500,000.00
Agreement Date:
Mar 31, 2026 - Mar 31, 2027
Description:
The purpose of this agreement is to hyperspectrally scan approximately 30,000 metres of selected drill core from the Newfoundland and Labrador drill core repository, prioritizing deposits with critical mineral potential, to generate hyperspectral, high-resolution RGB imagery and 3D core profiles. The resulting datasets will be made publicly accessible through the GeoScience Atlas to support mineral exploration, research and decision-making.
Organization:
Natural Resources Canada
Expected Results:
The project will deliver high-quality, publicly available hyperspectral, RGB, and 3D drill core datasets that enhance geological interpretation and reduce exploration risk and costs.
