Description:
The objective of this Project is to modernize microgrid station infrastructure in three of the Proponent's Non-Integrated Areas to reduce diesel reliance, improve system reliability, and enable the integration of renewable energy resources, including future Indigenous-owned projects.

This Project will reduce reliance on diesel generation in remote Indigenous communities, lowering greenhouse gas emissions and improving air quality. By enabling future renewable energy integration, the Project will provide economic opportunities for Indigenous communities and local First Nations Independent Power Producers (IPPs) through Community Energy Purchase Agreement payments, procurement contracts, and local employment during construction and operation.
