Description:
The objective of this project is to enhance the reliability, resiliency, and flexibility of the local electricity grid in the Town of Wasaga Beach, Ontario, through the deployment of smart grid devices and the implementation of an Outage Management System (OMS) to support improved grid monitoring and outage response.

Expected Results:
The expected results will install fault indicators, smart switches, and relays, and implement a new Outage Management System (OMS) to be integrated with the existing Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) system. These investments will improve system visibility, outage detection, restoration times, and strengthen grid resiliency, while preparing the distribution system to meet future energy demand.
