Program Purpose:
The objective/purpose of this project is to fund capital improvements at the Fibrek S.E.N.C. pulp mill in Saint-Félicien, Quebec, which will include the replacement and installation of equipment associated with the pulp machine to reduce the water content of the pulp at the entry of the dryer section. The pulp machine upgrades will improve the energy and environmental performance of the mill by reducing the steam requirement and subsequently reducing heavy oil consumption and associated greenhouse gas emissions.
