Program Purpose:

This agreement between Natural Resources Canada and FPInnovations provides the proponent with up to $25,572,000 between the period of April 1st, 2011 to March 31, 2012 to deliver the Transformative Technologies Research Program. The proponent will work with a multi-party project team in collaboration with provinces, universities and forest product manufacturers. The research focuses on the development and adaptation of emerging and breakthrough technologies such as those related to forest biomass harvesting and conversion, nanotechnology and next-generation forest products.
