Program Purpose:

The purpose of the agreement is to identify target genes which are essential for spruce budworm (SBW) survival and to knock down these candidate genes by ribonucleic acid interference (RNAi) per os. Knowledge gained from these activities will help in the identification of wide range of target genes for RNAi and development of new generation RNAi-based pesticides.
