Program Purpose:

The integrated photovoltaic and thermal system has duel functions of generating electricity and capturing heat for the building. The main purpose of this project is to develop and test Building-Integrated Photovoltaic and Thermal (BIPV-T) collector and associated components that are robust, easy to install, appropriate for cold climates, modular, and inherently flexible to accommodate in various site conditions. The project team will work with researchers, academics, industry partners and practitioners. Output results will include design specifications, BIPV-T components and field performance data.
