Program Purpose:
The purpose of the agreement is to support the development of cold climate air source integrated heat pumps that will provide space heat/cooling and domestic hot water. The project will use the latest inverter and digital scroll compressors, new refrigerants and lubricants and larger coils that can significantly expand the operating range of air source heat pumps to temperatures as low as -30 degrees Celsius.
