The purpose of this agreement is to optimize and operationally validate the proponent's enzymatically-accelerated solvent approach technology to efficiently capture 90% of the CO2 from flue gas of the stationary emissions sources such as oil production operations, power and steam plants and metals production facilities. In addition, the last phase of the project represents another important technological breakthrough that can achieve both lower costs CO2 capture as well as a smaller equipment size better suited to the retrofit of many industrial emitter locations which are space-constrained.
