Program Purpose:
The purpose of this agreement is to demonstrate the installation, evaluation and long-term operation of fuel processing systems that will allow for the use of low carbon fuels, such as end-of-life railway ties, for up to 10% replacement of the conventional high carbon mix of coal and petroleum coke currently used to fuel the high temperature cement production kiln at its Bath, Ontario plant.
