Program Purpose:
The purpose of this agreement is to develop interoperable open data and Smart City deployment policies, practices, standards and systems and also to inform Smart City procurement processes. The project will be informed by expert professionals and open data specialists in urban administrations and the Province of Ontario, which governs some of Canada's largest cities. This is to ensure that the analysis and the recommendations can be operationalized by cities across Canada in accordance with global best practices.
