The objective of this Project is to understand the impact of spruce budworm defoliation on the fibre quality of balsam fir and spruce harvested on the North Shore in Quebec in order to develop a predictive model of the quality of the fibre to be harvested and the volume of wood to be left in the forest as a result of the wood processing processes.
