Description:
The objective of this Project is to raise the profile of women who are at the forefront of energy innovation in Canada, and to draw attention to the strategies that companies, governments, and individuals can use to make gender equality an essential part of Canada's energy future. This aligns with NRCan's mandate to identify opportunities to support workers and businesses in the natural resource sectors, and to advance gender equality and diversity in the clean energy sector.

Expected Results:
  1. Create summary report of proposed solutions. 2. Deliver an interactive online portal featuring profiles of Canadian women from across different sectors in the energy value chain who are leading change on innovation, diversification, and transformation. 3. Host a roundtable in the Canada Pavilion at the 27th session of the Conference of the Parties (COP27) to connect findings from this Project to the emerging conversation at the global level 4. Outreach effort sharing success stories of women in the energy transformation with broader public through social media exposure, as well as dissemination of solutions materials in partnership with collaborators.
