The objective of this Project is to increase awareness of the national Earthquake Early Warning (EEW) system through public education and engagement materials and activities, particularly among communities and populations in seismically active areas and disproportionately at risk.

Expected Results:

The project will increase community resilience in BC by improving understanding of EEW and protective measures that individuals need to take when an alert is received and before strong shaking occurs. To ensure First Nations and local government are well informed and to educate the population about EEW, the proponent will incorporate EEW into materials and conduct public education campaign and advertising campaign activities.
