The Proponent will develop an online web portal for a province-wide residential energy labelling program, which will undergo internal testing prior to its public launch.
Organization:
Natural Resources Canada
Expected Results:

Home energy labels will be generated for all PEI homes, and an online “Live Labelling System” will be developed with digital building records for all homes. A validated homeowner portal will be launched, incorporating stakeholder and community feedback, to improve usability, accuracy, and inclusivity. This initiative will lead to energy savings, economic benefits, job creation, and health/safety improvements in housing. Additionally, it will strengthen networks that will lead to future energy-efficiency initiatives and will also contribute to the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions in Canada’s residential housing stock.
