The objective of this project is to demonstrate on a mass scale a Standardized Deep Retrofit Package for townhouse-model homes that will lead to affordable Net-Zero ready housing, while providing hands-on training and building science education to equity-deserving groups through a Retrofit Accelerator Mentorship Program (RAMP).

Expected Results:

Coordinate efforts between stakeholders and trades to retrofit 63 affordable townhomes in Ottawa for low-income residents, reducing energy use and greenhouse gas emissions. In collaboration with homeowners and tenants, the Proponent will model energy performance and deliver a mass retrofit plan that enables rapid upgrades with minimal disruption. The Project team will also provide hands-on job training and building science education to equity-deserving groups through the Retrofit Accelerator Mentorship Program (RAMP), assess homeowner and tenant satisfaction, and communicate results to advance scalable, inclusive climate solutions.
