Description:
The objective of this Project is to build fourteen (14) Net-Zero ready homes in the Prairie Paddle Metis Settlement and focus on developing life skills workshops for tenants and homeowners focusing on financial literacy, home maintenance, and problem solving, to ensure once they move into the homes, they are equipped with the tools to foster a successful, sustainable energy efficient environment.

Expected Results:

Under this Project, the Proponent will promote the adoption and implementation of the National Building Code (NBC) and the National Energy Code for Buildings (NECB) through the construction of fourteen (14) Net-Zero ready four-bedroom affordable homes in the Settlement. The Proponent will also develop nationally applicable tools and training materials, host workshops, develop forums and platforms to share information, and raise awareness on energy efficient construction and practices.
