Title:
A Route to Establish a Canadian Lithium Sulphide Supply Chain for Solid State Batteries
Agreement Number:
CMRDD2-070
Agreement Value:
$3,039,344.00
Agreement Date:
Feb 4, 2026 - Mar 31, 2028
Description:
Telescope Innovations aims to scale-up and pilot its lithium sulphide low cost method to manufacture lithium sulfide, a high value critical mineral required for the production of solid-state lithium batteries.
Organization:
Natural Resources Canada
Expected Results:

The project will advance a made-in-Canada, next generation lithium battery application to commercialization that could result in a value-added application, solid-state electric vehicle (EV) batteries, for Canadian lithium producers. As solid- state batteries offer higher energy density, longer lifetimes (safer and less environmental impact), faster charging time and larger capacity, this could improve uptake of EVs.
